According to National Iraqi News Agency, the closed-door session took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings. The gathering included representatives from Indonesia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Pakistan, and Egypt, in addition to Turkey and the United States.

In a brief opening statement, Trump emphasized the significance of the meeting, labeling it his "most important meeting." He expressed a strong desire to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza, suggesting that the gathering could potentially resolve the issue. Trump highlighted the importance of discussing the return of prisoners and finding a resolution to the war in the Middle East.

Following the meeting, Trump indicated his intention to engage with other regional officials, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to further efforts to end the conflict. He acknowledged the respect and importance of the leaders involved, emphasizing the group's capability to achieve a resolution.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressed gratitude to the leaders for their endeavors and reiterated the urgency of ending the war and securing the return of hostages in Gaza.

Upon exiting the UN building, Trump shared his optimism about the meeting's outcomes, describing it as "very successful." He mentioned the absence of Israeli representation but assured that future discussions with Israeli leaders were planned. The meeting was deemed productive in addressing key issues related to Gaza, bringing together influential regional leaders to work towards a solution.
