Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani emphasized the significance of international cooperation in achieving societal stability during a meeting with a delegation from the European Foundation for Dialogue and Development.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring joint efforts to support national initiatives aimed at enhancing stability and promoting concepts of dialogue and societal understanding. Al-Mashhadani highlighted the importance of constructive dialogue among various parties and the role of international cooperation in consolidating societal stability. He underscored the necessity of supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen the social fabric, particularly in regions that have encountered significant security and social challenges recently.

The European Foundation delegation shared its vision of fostering understanding between communities and collaborating with local authorities to achieve stability and development. They commended the Speaker of Parliament's dedication to addressing humanitarian and social issues.

Al-Mashhadani also discussed the Parliament's approach to this area, affirming his commitment to conducting internal and external workshops that facilitate the exchange of expertise and enhance institutional performance to benefit the public interest.
