Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji recently held a meeting with the Lebanese Ambassador to Baghdad, Ali Adeeb al-Habhab, to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest. This meeting marked the end of al-Habhab's tenure as Lebanon's ambassador to Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Chancellery released a statement detailing the focus of the meeting. Al-Araji and al-Habhab reviewed the state of affairs between Iraq and Lebanon, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and partnership to benefit both nations and their citizens. The discussions also included an assessment of Lebanon's security situation and the government's efforts to restore stability.

The talks further addressed the ongoing violations by the Zionist entity on Lebanese territory. Ambassador al-Habhab highlighted the lack of adherence to international resolutions by the Zionist entity, calling for international accountability. Al-Araji echoed these concerns, condemning the actions as illegal and urging the international community to intervene and halt the violations against Palestinian and Lebanese citizens.
