Istanbul to Host 16th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum


Baghdad: The city of Istanbul will host the 16th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum on Thursday, under the theme “3 Bridges Connecting the World.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the forum organizers aim to develop economic relations between Turkey and Arab countries. A roadmap for economic cooperation between Turkey and Arab countries will be presented, and issues related to sustainable growth, regional cooperation, investment, finance, banking, technology, energy, and construction will be discussed.



The forum stands out as an important platform for strengthening trade and economic relations between Turkey and the Arab world, evaluating investment opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships. Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Simsek is expected to attend, along with a group of representatives from the public and private sectors, and senior officials from Arab countries.



Murat Efe, Chairman of the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum, said in a press statement: “The forum, which has been held since 2005, aims to deepen economic cooperation between Turkey and Arab countries, and has become a platform of significant importance in the region.”



He stated that the forum will bring together Arab government figures, representatives of prominent regional and international institutions and organizations, and business leaders, with the goal of contributing to economic development and stability in the region.
