Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday stressed the need to reach an agreement with Hamas by 6:00 p.m. Washington time, corresponding to 1:00 a.m. Sunday Baghdad time, warning of serious consequences if efforts fail.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump stated in a press release that failure to reach an agreement would result in opening "the gates of unprecedented hell on Hamas." Despite the stern warning, Trump noted that Hamas members would be given another chance, emphasizing the United States' commitment to achieving peace in the Middle East.
Trump further urged innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza to relocate to safer areas, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the potential for escalated conflict should negotiations fall through.
