INSS Arrests 46 Individuals for Electoral Card Trafficking

Baghdad: The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced the arrest of 46 individuals accused of engaging in the illegal buying and selling of electoral cards. The operation led to the seizure of 1,841 voter cards from the suspects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrests were made by INSS detachments conducting separate security operations across the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, and West Nineveh. These actions were based on precise intelligence work aimed at curbing electoral fraud.

The INSS confirmed that all arrested individuals, along with the seized electoral cards, have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities for legal proceedings. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts to ensure the integrity of the electoral process in Iraq.
