Russian Air Defense Systems Intercept and Destroy 117 Ukrainian Drones Overnight

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 117 Ukrainian drones overnight over several Russian provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry detailed the interceptions in a statement: "27 drones were shot down over Bryansk Province, 16 over Volgograd, 15 over Kursk and Crimea, 11 over Rostov Province, 10 over Voronezh, 8 over Belgorod, 6 each over Leningrad and Kaluga, two over Novgorod and the Black Sea, and one over Smolensk Province."

This significant defensive action highlights the ongoing tension and military activities in the region. The Russian Ministry of Defense's swift response to the attempted incursions demonstrates the heightened state of alert and the capabilities of its air defense systems. The interception of such a large number of drones in a single night underscores the scale of the threat and the resources deployed to counter it.
