Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Sunday, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, the credentials of the new ambassadors, Antti Putkonen, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, Clemens Semtner, Head of the European Union Mission, and Daniel Krieber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during separate meetings with each of the new ambassadors, the President reaffirmed Iraq's keenness to establish balanced relations with countries around the world based on mutual interests, emphasizing the importance of expanding political, economic, and trade cooperation. He also wished the ambassadors success in performing their duties in a way that strengthens the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Iraq and their countries.
For their part, the ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed their countries' desire to enhance cooperation with Iraq in various fields.
