Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate has successfully arrested 25 foreigners who were attempting to illegally enter the Diyala and Anbar Governorates. This significant operation highlights ongoing efforts to secure Iraq’s borders against unlawful entry.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate issued a statement explaining that the arrests were part of a broader initiative to curb the influx of foreign workers entering the country without proper authorization. The operation involved the Intelligence Departments of the 10th and 23rd Infantry Divisions, which executed precise ambushes based on accurate intelligence. These efforts led to the capture of 19 individuals in Diyala and six in Anbar, all of whom were attempting to infiltrate Iraqi territory.

The Directorate further noted that the apprehended individuals have been transferred to the relevant authorities in compliance with established legal procedures, underscoring the commitment to maintaining the rule of law and border integrity.
