Baghdad: The Coordination Framework stressed the need to proceed with elections on schedule, emphasizing the importance of continuing electoral preparations. The media department of the framework stated in a statement that the Coordination Framework held its 244th regular meeting today, Monday, in the office of Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, during which it reviewed the latest developments at the national and international levels.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework discussed regional developments, efforts to calm the situation in Gaza, and their repercussions on regional and domestic security. The framework called on all countries to continue their efforts to build global peace and spare peoples the evil of wars and conflicts where there is no winner.

Regarding domestic affairs, the Coordination Framework discussed government efforts to contain the water crisis in the country and the need to increase water releases in accordance with international agreements.

Regarding the electoral file, the Coordination Framework stressed the importance of continuing electoral preparations, affirming that the elections will proceed as scheduled. The Coordination Framework called on the honorable people to participate actively, also urging political forces and candidates to present their electoral programs, free from disparagement and targeting, and to refrain from the misuse of money to win votes.

The Coordination Framework called on the House of Representatives to continue holding its sessions to resolve the remaining laws on its agenda that concern the Iraqi people.
