Baghdad: Iraq welcomed the regional and international efforts that led to an agreement on Gaza. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “the Republic of Iraq’s welcome of the regional and international efforts that led to an agreement on Gaza, affirming its support for all efforts aimed at stopping the war, alleviating the suffering of civilians, and creating conditions that enhance stability, ensuring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions, and achieving their aspirations to establish their independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire, ending the suffering of the Palestinian people, and ensuring the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected, which would contribute to creating a supportive humanitarian environment for achieving security and stability in the region.
