Basra: Basra Heavy and Medium crude oil prices fell slightly on Thursday, coinciding with the decline in global oil prices, due to the decline in geopolitical risks and the rise in the value of the US dollar.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Basra Heavy crude fell by 9 cents, or 0.14%, to $64.8 per barrel, based on global data. Basra Medium crude also fell by the same amount, by 0.14%, to $65.63 per barrel.

This decline followed a decrease in global oil prices. Brent crude futures dropped by 34 cents, or 0.51%, to $65.91 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude decreased by 38 cents, or 0.61%, to $62.17 per barrel.
