Baghdad: The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) announced that the Israeli occupation army continues to maintain a military presence and conduct activities in the area of operations of the UN peacekeeping mission.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, UNIFIL stated that its forces observed the Israeli occupation forces firing heavy machine guns northward near Sarda in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon on Thursday. Additionally, Israeli soldiers directed a green laser at UNIFIL personnel stationed at a UN position in the eastern sector. In a separate incident, an Israeli soldier aimed his rifle at UN personnel near Marwahin in the western sector. UNIFIL emphasized the need for these actions to cease immediately.
