Kirkuk: A policeman was arrested for shooting a motorcyclist in Kirkuk.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the incident occurred when a motorcyclist failed to comply with a police patrol’s request to stop in the Shorja area of Kirkuk. This non-compliance led a member of the patrol to shoot and injure the motorcyclist.

The security source further stated that following the incident, both the policeman and the injured motorcyclist were taken into custody. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting has been initiated to determine the events that led to the use of force by the police officer.
