Jerusalem: The Israeli Prison Service has begun transferring Palestinian prisoners expected to be released under the Gaza agreement.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the transfer of Palestinian prisoners from five different prisons to the facilities from which they are expected to be released has begun.

The reports indicate that approximately 250 life-sentenced prisoners and around 1,700 detainees from Gaza, who were arrested after October 7, are included in the transfer process. The current number of prisoners in Israeli prisons is reported to be 9,000.
