Karbala: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has emphasized that parliamentary membership is a significant opportunity for effective action and service delivery. He underscored this sentiment during the launch of his political initiative, ‘Iraq First,’ from Karbala, which he described as a symbol of balancing faith with work.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani, during the ceremony in Karbala, highlighted that the government prioritizes provincial needs over any other distinctions. He noted the notable progress in Karbala, citing the completion of the Karbala Refinery and the imminent opening of Karbala International Airport.

The Prime Minister also reported a reduction in the unemployment rate to 2.1% and resolved the backlog of one million job positions. He praised the efforts of the Service and Engineering Effort Team for completing 511 projects, reaffirming the government’s commitment to combating corruption and removing barriers to reform.

Al-Sudani detailed the government’s achievem
ents in preventing warfare and enhancing services for over three million citizens. He also mentioned the completion of 43 development projects, with 16 fully completed, and the construction of 97 new school buildings.

He concluded by emphasizing the government’s focus on addressing poverty, unemployment, and service challenges through a profound understanding of citizens’ needs. Al-Sudani asserted the government’s firm stance against negligence and obstructionist forces, declaring tangible success in their reformative efforts.
