Washington: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq's oil exports to the United States increased last week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the EIA stated in a statistic that the average US crude oil imports last week from 10 major countries reached 5.530 million barrels per day. This marks an increase of 317,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, which saw imports at 4.847 million barrels per day.

The EIA further reported that the average Iraqi oil exports to the United States reached 135,000 barrels, reflecting a significant rise of 127,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when exports were only 8,000 barrels per day.

The EIA indicated that the largest oil imports to the United States last week came from Canada, followed by Mexico, Libya, and Nigeria. The data also revealed that US crude oil imports continued to originate from Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Colombia.
