The Arab League Praises Iraq’s Organization of Arab Tourism Statistics Forum

Baghdad: The General Secretariat of the League of Arab States has praised the efforts of the Tourism Authority in organizing the third Arab Tourism Statistics Forum in Baghdad. This event, held last month, showcased Iraq's capacity to host significant Arab events.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Arab League highlighted the contributions of Nasser Ghanem Murad, Chairman of the Tourism Authority, and Ali Yassin, Director of Public Relations, Media, and International Organizations. Their professional and effective management was noted as key to the forum's success, establishing it as an exemplary model of organizational success and a significant platform for advancing tourism statistics in the Arab world.

The Arab League emphasized that the successful hosting of this event in Baghdad signals Arab and international confidence in Iraq's capability to lead regional tourism and development initiatives.

Baghdad hosted the forum from September 21 to 23, with participation from 19 Arab and foreign countries along with six international governmental organizations. This event marked a milestone for in-person Arab meetings in Baghdad, underscoring Iraq's central role in fostering Arab and international cooperation and its commitment to developing a vibrant tourism sector aligned with global trends.
