Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has emphasized the urgent need for collaborative efforts to heal the wounds of Palestine and restore the Gaza Strip. Speaking at an economic event organized by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Ankara, Erdogan highlighted the importance of unity in rebuilding Gaza and supporting the Palestinian people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan outlined Turkey's commitment to facilitating the reconstruction of Gaza, acknowledging that the process could take years. He expressed Turkey's readiness to coordinate with global partners, including the United States and Gulf states, to determine necessary actions for the region's recovery.

Erdogan noted that signs of hope are emerging in Gaza, as children begin to venture outside without the fear of conflict. He expressed contentment in witnessing these positive changes despite the prevailing challenges.

Additionally, Erdogan commented on the Sharm el-Sheikh summit, which took place under the leadership of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and former US President Donald Trump. The summit, attended by leaders from over 20 nations, aimed to lay the groundwork for lasting peace in the region.

The Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, as reported by the Egyptian presidency, focused on initiating consultations for implementing the next stages of the Trump plan. This summit followed a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which took effect last Friday afternoon after receiving approval from the Israeli government.
