Diwaniyah: The Diwaniyah Anti-Narcotics Directorate has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 3 kilograms of drugs into the governorate. This operation prevented the distribution of the illicit substance within the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diwaniyah Police issued a statement revealing that the operation was carried out with precision and professionalism. The preemptive action was conducted in a neighboring governorate, where the drugs were seized before they could be transported to Diwaniyah. This operation, which lasted over 14 hours, also led to the arrest of the individuals involved in the smuggling attempt.
