Baghdad: The leader of the Sadrist movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, announced the appointment of Sheikh Salah al-Obaidi as his representative in Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sadr issued a document bearing his signature and seal to confirm the appointment. In this document, al-Sadr stated that al-Obaidi has full authority to carry out various religious, ideological, social, and cultural duties within the governorate.
