Ankara: The Head of the Sovereignty Alliance, Sheikh Khamis Al-Khanjar, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Tuesday. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for political, economic, and security cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on regional issues of common interest, contributing to consolidating stability and development in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Al-Khanjar emphasized that Iraq and Turkey are linked by deep historical and cultural relations, and that strengthening these ties represents a fundamental pillar for achieving the common interests of the two brotherly peoples. He also highlighted the importance of supporting development and investment paths and expanding partnerships to serve regional security and stability.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, on his part, affirmed Ankara’s keenness to develop cooperation with Baghdad in various fields and enhance continuous communication with influential Iraqi leaders.
