Diyala: A security detachment arrested a traveler in possession of narcotic pills at the Al-Mundhiriyah border crossing, northeast of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest of the accused occurred during routine inspection procedures, where trained police dogs detected the hidden narcotics he was attempting to smuggle into the country.

The source added that the necessary legal measures were taken against the accused, and he was referred to the competent judicial authorities to face charges in accordance with the law.
