Baghdad: Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Al-Tamimi, received in his office this evening, Tuesday, a number of tribal sheikhs and dignitaries from the Tarmiyah district, north of Baghdad.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the Operations Commander praised the role played by the indigenous tribal sheikhs in resolving disputes, reconciling disputants, and supporting security forces in enforcing and implementing the law. He listened to their requests and the problems they face to find appropriate solutions, as they relate to the security and service aspects.
The attendees appreciated the efforts made by the Operations Command (commander, officers and personnel) and its security formations in preserving the security achievements made and communicating with all segments of Baghdad society to promote community peace and combat crime in all its types and forms.
