Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan pledged to build a leading Turkey in its regional environment, strong, prosperous, and enjoying global respect. This came in a message he published today, Wednesday, on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic, which falls on October 29th of each year.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan affirmed that his country will thwart the ambitions of those with expansionist aims without giving any opportunity to the merchants of chaos who target Turkey’s national unity and solidarity. In his message, Erdogan emphasized the significance of the Turkish Republic as a refuge for people striving for independence and as the culmination of states that have existed throughout history.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey is undergoing a renaissance in all fields within the “Century of Turkey” goals, encompassing defense industries, the economy, education, agriculture, tourism, energy, and foreign policy. President Erdogan also affirmed that they are advancing with confident steps towards achieving the goal of “Turkey without terrorism,” ensuring that all 86 million citizens live in security and prosperity.

He added that Turkey is working tirelessly with an identity that defends right and truth to achieve a more just world, amid the erosion of universal human values due to wars, conflicts, and crises. Erdogan highlighted Turkey’s efforts in mediation, diplomatic initiatives, and humanitarian aid to stop bloodshed and promote peace in crisis regions, including Palestine and Gaza.

Turkey celebrates Republic Day on October 29th of each year, commemorating the declaration of the Republic by Mustafa Kemal Atatrk in 1923.
