Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed that Ankara will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, alter the status of al-Quds, or attempt to violate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Speaking at the Istanbul Congress Center during the opening of the 41st meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s firm stance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan stated that Hamas is committed to the ceasefire agreement, while Israel continues its occupation and killings in Gaza and the West Bank. He noted that despite Hamas’s commitment, Israel’s record regarding ceasefire compliance is poor.

Erdogan explained that Israel has killed more than 200 innocent people in Gaza since the ceasefire came into effect, in addition to continuing its occupation and attacks in the West Bank. He highlighted the ongoing conflict and its impact on the region.

Regarding developments in Sudan, the Turkish President expressed concern over the situation in the Sudanese city of El Fasher. He emphasized the necessity of protecting Sudan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence, and condemned the massacres of civilians in the region.

Erdogan stressed the importance of standing with the people of Sudan and ensuring their protection. He reiterated Turkey’s commitment to supporting Sudan’s sovereignty and independence amidst the ongoing challenges.
