President Returns to Iraq After Concluding His Official Visit to Qatar


Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid returned to Iraq after concluding his official visit to the State of Qatar, where he participated in the Second World Summit for Social Development held in the Qatari capital, Doha.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the conference, President Rashid delivered Iraq’s speech, emphasizing the importance of strengthening international cooperation to achieve comprehensive development and social justice. He highlighted the necessity to support efforts aimed at improving the conditions of societies and addressing the economic and social challenges facing the world.



In addition to his national address, the President also represented the Group of 77 and China, articulating the group’s stance on sustainable development issues and the priorities of developing countries in this arena.



On the sidelines of the conference, President Rashid met with his Pakistani counterpart to discuss ways to develop relations between Iraq and Pakistan and to enhance joint cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
