Baghdad: The leader of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, emphasized the need for a strong and competent government in Iraq that is not influenced by external forces and can restore citizens’ trust in the state. He highlighted the importance of a government that is close to the citizenry through tangible actions rather than mere slogans.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during an electoral victory festival, Al-Hakim stated that the government should be founded on national partnership and social justice, ensuring the protection of everyone’s rights. He insisted that the government must operate transparently and should not be managed through secretive deals or favors.

Al-Hakim further stressed the importance of restoring the citizens’ trust, ensuring they perceive the state as an ally rather than an adversary. He advocated for a government that prioritizes public interest and serves all citizens, particularly protecting the poor.

He underscored that the next government should be driven by a national will, free from external influences. Al-Hakim asserted that the National Wisdom Movement will play a significant role in forming this government and emphasized the urgency of its formation, regardless of election outcomes.

Al-Hakim concluded by stating that political leadership should not be seen as a pursuit of personal gain but as a commitment to defense, action, and courage.
