Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense confirmed that there were no security breaches during the voting process. Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, Director of the Media and Moral Guidance Directorate at the Ministry of Defense, told the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) that since the start of the special voting process, Iraqi army forces have been deployed to polling stations and the process is proceeding smoothly and efficiently.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khafaji emphasized that there is no pressure being exerted on personnel or officers and that the electoral process is being conducted with high transparency. He indicated that the security plan for the elections is being implemented with high professionalism in coordination between the Ministries of Defense and Interior and other security agencies.
