Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Walid al-Tamimi, confirmed during his inspection of polling centers, accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Lieutenant General Jamil al-Shammari, that the special voting process is proceeding smoothly and that officers and enlisted personnel cast their votes freely and with complete transparency.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, he indicated that the security plan, implemented under the supervision of the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, is proceeding as planned, without any road closures in Baghdad. The capital is experiencing normal traffic flow for vehicles and citizens.
Lieutenant General al-Tamimi explained that after the special voting process concludes, security forces will begin implementing the plan to protect polling centers in preparation for general voting day, to ensure the success of the electoral process in a safe and stable environment.
