MoD Confirms Successful Execution of Election Security Plan Without Breaches


Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the security plan for the general voting of the Iraqi parliamentary elections is proceeding as planned, with no security breaches recorded so far.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, Director of the Directorate of Media and Moral Guidance at the Ministry, stated that army and police forces, along with other security agencies, the Army Aviation, and the Iraqi Air Force, are working in full coordination under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command to secure the voting process.



Al-Khafaji highlighted that the security plan for these elections is distinguished by its high level of professionalism and the incorporation of advanced technology. He explained that separate detailed plans have been developed to secure polling centers, the transfer of memory sticks and ballot boxes, and their safe delivery to storage facilities.



He further emphasized that security personnel have been instructed to maintain complete neutrality and refrain from influencing voters in any way.
