Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Naeem Succumbs to Injuries in Tuz Khurmatu

Kirkuk: An officer died from his wounds south of Kirkuk. Security sources announced the death of Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Naeem this evening. He had been seriously wounded on election night in Tuz Khurmatu district, and his condition deteriorated.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the officer was shot by an armed group near Idris Center in Tuz Khurmatu on November 11th, sustaining critical injuries that required hospitalization. Mustafa Naeem, 42 years old, served in the 88th Commando Brigade and hailed from Zubair district in Basra Governorate.

Kirkuk also witnessed the deaths of two police officers on election night, the wounding of four others, and the arrest of 27 individuals involved or suspected in the incident.
