Damascus: The Syrian Presidency has officially refuted recent reports suggesting that President Ahmed al-Sharaa collaborated with Washington against ISIS and al-Qaeda since 2016.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on Friday that the Syrian Presidency dismissed these claims as baseless allegations. The presidency emphasized that President al-Sharaa did not coordinate or cooperate with any foreign entity concerning actions against ISIS and al-Qaeda.
Furthermore, the Syrian Presidency clarified that all decisions and measures taken during that period were independently made by Syrian authorities. They asserted that there was no coordination or requests from any external parties in relation to the actions against these extremist groups.
