Baghdad: The head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, received several winning candidates from the coalition in the recent parliamentary elections. The meeting was attended by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Asadi, along with other dignitaries and coalition supporters.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani began the meeting by expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the coalition's leaders and electoral teams for their significant role in achieving successful results in the parliamentary elections. He emphasized that the recent elections have restored public confidence in the political process, with voter turnout exceeding 56%, marking the highest participation in years. Al-Sudani highlighted that international and regional institutions view such participation rates as a crucial indicator of trust in the political system.

Al-Sudani explained that the Reconstruction and Development Coalition remains committed to its reform-oriented agenda, which aims to correct the political course and meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
