Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense mourned a lieutenant colonel who was martyred while protecting a polling station and ballot boxes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated, "With deep sorrow and grief, we mourn Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Naeem Jarallah, assigned to the 1st Battalion of the 88th Commando Brigade, East Salah al-Din Operations Command, who was martyred after sustaining injuries while protecting a polling station and ballot boxes four days ago."
