Baghdad: Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri and First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen al-Mandalawi affirmed the cohesion of the Coordination Framework and its constituent forces' commitment to strengthening joint action and unifying positions to ensure the achievement of the national interest. A statement from al-Amiri's office indicated that "Badr Organization Secretary-General Hadi al-Amiri received First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen al-Mandalawi at his office in Baghdad."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement explained that "both sides congratulated the Iraqi people on the success of the parliamentary elections and the democratic process in which they participated to choose their representatives in the legislative authority." It added that "the meeting addressed the overall political situation in the country and reviewed current developments, in addition to discussing shared national visions that support the stability of the political process."
