Baghdad: The Coordination Framework has officially signed an agreement recognizing itself as the largest parliamentary bloc, consisting of all its constituent entities, and is moving forward with nominating a prime minister for the next phase.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework's media office announced in a press release that the Framework convened its 250th regular meeting, which saw the participation of all its leaders at the office of Dr. Haider al-Abadi. The meeting commenced with congratulations extended to the Iraqi people and political forces on successfully completing the electoral process, highlighting the need for comprehensive national cooperation to advance into the next phase and to consolidate political stability.

The Coordination Framework emphasized the urgency of concluding the electoral processes within the constitutional timeframes and in line with established legal procedures. It stressed that adhering to constitutional deadlines ensures an orderly constitutional transition that honors the electorate's will.

In line with this commitment, the Framework, as the largest parliamentary bloc comprising all its entities, reiterated its pledge to nominate the Prime Minister for the upcoming phase in accordance with constitutional protocols.

To gear up for the forthcoming elections, the Framework resolved to establish two leadership committees. The first will focus on discussing national priorities for the upcoming phase and crafting a unified vision to meet the state's governance requirements. The second committee will be tasked with interviewing candidates for the Prime Ministerial position based on professional and national standards.

The meeting extensively deliberated on the criteria for selecting the prime minister and the nature of the necessary government program. This program is expected to address Iraq's political, economic, and service-related challenges while fulfilling citizens' aspirations for reform, stability, and development.
