Dhi Qar Police Arrest 13 Suspects, Including Terrorism and Drug Trafficking Charges

Baghdad: Dhi Qar Police announced the execution of a series of precise security operations that resulted in the arrest of 13 suspects for various crimes, including individuals wanted under Article (4) of the Anti-Terrorism Law and others on charges related to drug trafficking.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was carried out by the Tactical Unit's intelligence cell, with support from the Al-Sahiroun Center, following continuous surveillance and monitoring of the suspects' movements. This led to the precise identification of their locations and their arrest without incident.

The statement added that SWAT intelligence detachments, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, were able to arrest a suspect wanted on charges of drug trafficking.

Dhi Qar Police confirmed that all legal procedures have been taken against the suspects and that they have been referred to the competent authorities to continue and complete the investigations according to due process.
