The IHEC Reports 130 Appeals Against 2025 Election Results

Baghdad: The Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced on Wednesday that the number of appeals submitted against the results of the 2025 parliamentary elections has risen to 130.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Commission spokesperson Jumana Al-Ghalai stated in a brief announcement that the number of appeals to the final results-announced by the Commission on Monday, November 17, 2025-has continued to increase. The window for submitting appeals remains open for three days, allowing further grievances to be lodged.

Earlier, the IHEC released the final results of both the general and special voting processes. The Commission has affirmed its readiness to receive and process appeals in accordance with established legal procedures, ensuring transparency and adherence to democratic principles.
