Dubai: World-renowned musician Naseer Shamma is set to perform a special concert at Dubai Opera on November 29, 2025, presenting a selection of his most celebrated works that have captivated audiences across the globe. Shamma will be joined in this unique performance by twelve elite soloists from the 'Builders of Peace' ensemble, which he founded. Together, they will deliver a musical experience that bridges cultures and blends artistic styles in harmonious unity, reflecting the artist's vision and the ensemble's message.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Shamma is considered one of the leading innovators in Arabic music, known for his influential compositions such as 'Ishraq,' 'Al-Amiriya,' and 'The Stillness of the Night in Baghdad.' His work offers a contemporary approach to the oud that transcends traditional boundaries. Shamma's career includes more than seventy international awards, beginning with the 'Best Emotional Melody in Iraq' award upon his graduation. His accolades continued with three consecutive honors from the Iraqi Artists Syndicate (1988-1990), the title of 'Best Artist in Iraq' in 1994, the Royal British Academy Award in 1998, the Rotterdam Arab Festival Award, along with many other prestigious distinctions.
