Baghdad: The judiciary has issued an arrest warrant for disqualified candidate Muhannad al-Khazraji, following his establishment of a "phantom brigade" within the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) had previously decided to disqualify and withhold votes from al-Khazraji, a candidate on the Badr Organization list in Baghdad Governorate, due to his establishment of a phantom brigade within the PMF.

It is worth noting that al-Khazraji previously held a parliamentary seat in the previous legislative session representing the State of Law Coalition, and then ran again in the recent elections with the Badr Organization list.
