Basra: The Basra Narcotics Affairs Directorate dismantled a drug trafficking network operating within the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Narcotics Affairs Directorate stated in a press release: "The operation was carried out following precise intelligence information," explaining that "during the arrest, the suspects attempted to flee, leading to a clash and exchange of fire, before the units were able to arrest the suspects without any casualties."

It added: "The operation resulted in the seizure of 24,000 Tramadol pills, 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine, in addition to drug paraphernalia and weapons in the possession of the suspects."
