Baghdad: Rusafa Police Command detachments arrested four suspects on forgery charges and seized equipment used in forgery operations inside a house.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that its detachments, in cooperation with the security forces, arrested four suspects in their possession of forged identity documents (registration cards) during a precise security operation. The suspects confessed during interrogation to committing numerous forgery operations.

The statement added: "Based on their confessions and pursuant to the investigating judge's decision, the detachments proceeded to a house in the Cairo neighborhood used by the suspects. Inside, they seized equipment for printing identity cards, various printers, different stamps, special printing materials for identity cards and key cards, an identity card laminating machine, and a laptop containing data.

The suspects were placed in detention pending further investigation and legal proceedings."
