Al-Sadr Directs Peace Brigades to Investigate Weapons Sales and Smuggling

Baghdad: Leader of the Sadrist Movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, directed the Peace Brigades to investigate the sale and smuggling of weapons. Commenting on information regarding the sale and smuggling of weapons to areas controlled by terrorist organizations, Al-Sadr said, "Follow them up, and if they don't cooperate, inform us... there might be a breach or collusion."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sadr's directives also encompassed his recent visit to the Samarra Operations Command. He emphasized the importance of monitoring the provision of supplies for the fighters in the region.

In addition, Al-Sadr focused on enhancing media preparations for commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali al-Hadi. He instructed the military media and the media directorate of the Peace Brigades to increase their effectiveness in this regard.

On a separate issue, related to Ramadan donations in various Iraqi provinces, Al-Sadr requested the names of donors be provided to him for the purpose of honoring them.
