Beirut: Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, met with First Lady Nemat Aoun in Beirut, Lebanon, to discuss strengthening humanitarian activities, the nature of services provided to those under the ministry's care, and enhancing the role of women in various sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two sides reviewed efforts to support humanitarian programs and joint coordination in areas of mutual interest, particularly regarding the development of educational, health, and economic services for the most vulnerable groups. They also discussed the importance of expanding opportunities for women's participation in the political process and empowering them to play an active role in public life.

Jabro praised First Lady Aoun's efforts, expressing her appreciation for the initiatives she undertakes in support of women's issues, noting that these efforts represent "a true investment in developing society and building human capital."

She noted the distinguished presence of First Lady Neemat Aoun at national and international events, pointing out that "her participation in the reception for His Holiness the Pope set a refined example of the image of Lebanese women, reflecting a spirit of openness, peace, and dialogue." She emphasized that "this distinguished appearance embodies the ability of women to represent their country in the most splendid way at the most important international forums."

For her part, the First Lady of Lebanon praised the humanitarian programs implemented by the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement, stressing the importance of continued joint efforts to serve vulnerable groups and enhance the role of women in both countries.
