Baghdad: Counter-Terrorism Service forces arrested six terrorists and conducted a series of search operations in several provinces.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated in a press release that its forces carried out a series of separate operations, based on precise intelligence and high-level field surveillance in several provinces. The Counter-Terrorism Service forces, in cooperation with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, were able to arrest four terrorists in Kirkuk who were working as transporters and suppliers for the remnants of the defeated ISIS gangs.

He added, "In two separate operations, the Service's forces arrested two terrorists, one in Mosul and the other in Baghdad."

He explained that, as part of search and clearance operations targeting remnants of the ISIS terrorist group, and in coordination with the Asayish Operations Directorate of the Kurdistan Region and the Sulaimaniyah Commando Forces, a series of extensive search operations were conducted in Kirkuk Governorate (Dibis District).

On another front, the Service's forces carried out clearing operations in the Hamrin Mountains of Salah al-Din Governorate, resulting in the destruction of six hideouts and shelters belonging to the defeated ISIS remnants.
