New york: The New York Times reported that the United States and the European Union have developed a plan to "deploy European military forces in Ukraine after the end of the conflict."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the plan includes deploying European armed forces in the country to support Ukraine and ensure security in the airspace and maritime domains. The discussions were held in Berlin, where American and European diplomats reviewed two key documents concerning Ukraine's post-conflict support. The first document details providing security guarantees akin to Article 5 of the NATO treaty, with a focus on strengthening the Ukrainian army while maintaining its strength at 800,000 personnel.

In this context, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that the EU and US countries agreed to grant Ukraine security guarantees "similar to Article 5." Meanwhile, a U.S. official, speaking to Axios on condition of anonymity, mentioned that President Donald Trump believes it is possible to persuade Russia to agree to these terms.

It is worth noting that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that Ukraine's accession to NATO is completely unacceptable to Russia.
