Baghdad: President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid congratulated the Yazidi community in Iraq and around the world on the occasion of their Fasting Festival.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the President expressed his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Yazidi people in a post on the website /X/. He wished them a holiday filled with hope and peace, highlighting the spiritual values promoted by the fasting period.

President Rashid emphasized the deep historical and cultural roots of the Yazidi community and their significant role in promoting diversity within Iraq. He acknowledged the severe challenges they have faced, including terrorism, and praised their resilience and commitment to their national identity.

The President also reiterated the importance of achieving justice for victims, holding perpetrators accountable, and uncovering the fate of the kidnapped and missing Yazidis.
