Basra: Police forces arrested a drug dealer who threatened to commit suicide during his arrest in Basra.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Police Command reported in a press release that the suspect attempted to hinder legal proceedings by threatening to take his own life during the arrest.
The situation was managed by a specialized negotiator from the Basra SWAT team, who employed calm dialogue and professional tactics to defuse the situation without any harm. Following the negotiator's intervention, the suspect chose to surrender voluntarily. The authorities then arrested him, and legal procedures were initiated.
