Baghdad: First Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, engaged in discussions with Mohammed Al-Halbousi, head of the Progress Party, focusing on the political landscape and strategies for the successful execution of the first session of the sixth parliamentary term, slated for December 29. Their dialogue aimed to advance national conversations and ensure constitutional obligations are met within the designated timelines.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting underscored the necessity of fostering a conducive political environment to facilitate the parliamentary session and finalize the legislative institution's constitutional framework. Both leaders agreed that this framework must align with current needs and prioritize the national interest. They highlighted the importance of unifying national forces' perspectives to broaden government formation, while also emphasizing the critical need for political and security stability.
